Job Description: Garden Assistant

Position Summary:
Cobblestone Farms is seeking a hardworking and enthusiastic Garden Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital role in the daily operations of our garden, helping us cultivate a bountiful harvest for our community programs and distribution efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with planting, seeding, weeding, and overall garden maintenance.
Help prepare soil beds and implement sustainable growing practices.
Water plants according to their needs and maintain irrigation systems.
Assist with harvesting a variety of fruits, vegetables, and herbs.
Help keep the gardens clean, organized, and free of debris.
Pruning, trellising, training a variety of crops
Maintain garden tools and equipment.
Work with the Farm Director, Farm Manager and other seasonal employees for cohesive operations.
Leading volunteers on assigned tasks
Other duties as assigned

No prior experience necessary, but a strong interest in gardening and sustainable agriculture is a plus. This work is not easy, but is highly rewarding
Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, especially heat.
Physically fit and able to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and walking long distances.
A willingness to learn and a positive attitude.
Team player with excellent communication skills.
