Cobblestone Farms Microfarm at the Treehouse Pantry – Springdale, AR

The Treehouse Pantry provides students and families in Springdale Schools with food, school supplies, hygiene items, essential clothing, shoes, and much more.
Cobblestone Farms is proud to partner with Springdale Schools and to have built the microfarm that now supplies fresh, nutrient-dense produce directly to the Treehouse Pantry. What began as an empty 1/4-acre lot has been transformed into a fully productive farm. Construction of the infrastructure took about three months, and the official grand opening was held on October 22 of this year.
The microfarm includes two 85-foot high tunnels—each containing four beds—along with two field blocks, each with five beds ranging from 60 to 75 feet long. The site also features a propagation house and six 2×8-foot metal raised beds. Located next to the pantry on W. Allen Dr., the project was taken over by Rodrigo Menocal of Cobblestone Farms in July 2025. Through his hard work and dedication, the farm has already produced nearly 1,000 lbs of fresh produce. The long-term goal is to grow 5,000 lbs annually for the Springdale School District.
This year, the microfarm produced 12 different varieties—including carrots, broccoli, cabbage, beets, lettuce, radishes, kale, spinach, and more. Next year, that number will increase to 17 varieties.
In addition to providing produce, the microfarm will begin hosting educational workshops for the Springdale School District starting next year.
This project is an exciting milestone for Cobblestone Farms, and we look forward to continuing our partnership with Springdale Schools—while working toward expanding microfarms throughout Northwest Arkansas to serve even more families.
